- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce, plus extra for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Prepare Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and rub them with olive oil.
- Season Chicken: In a small bowl, mix salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.
- Cook Chicken: Place the chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10 minutes, then flip and brush the tops with BBQ sauce. Cook for another 5–8 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Rest and Serve: Remove from the air fryer and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with additional BBQ sauce if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in BBQ sauce for a few hours before cooking.
- This recipe also works well with bone-in chicken breasts—just increase the cook time by 5–7 minutes.
