Ingredients
Scale
Beef Jerky:
- 1 lb lean beef (such as top round or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain)
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Marinate the Beef: In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Add beef slices, coat evenly, cover, and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
- Dry the Jerky: Remove beef from marinade, pat dry, preheat air fryer to 180°F, arrange beef in a single layer in the basket, air fry for 2-3 hours flipping every 30 minutes until dry and chewy.
- Cool and Store: Let jerky cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
Notes
- Use very lean meat to prevent spoilage.
- Partially freeze the beef for easier slicing.
- Adjust marinade seasonings to taste—add liquid smoke for a more intense smoky flavor.
