Hot Dogs:
- 4 hot dog buns
- 4 hot dogs
Cheese Blend:
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Additional:
- 2 tablespoons butter (softened)
- Optional toppings (ketchup, mustard, pickles, or jalapeños)
Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare Hot Dogs: Split each hot dog bun without separating it fully. Spread a thin layer of softened butter on the outside of each bun. Place a hot dog inside each bun, then fill the bun with a mix of cheddar and mozzarella cheese around the hot dog.
- Cook in Air Fryer: Gently press the bun closed so the cheese hugs the hot dog. Place the assembled hot dogs into the air fryer basket, cheese side up, in a single layer. Air fry for 6–8 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, the bun is golden, and the hot dog is heated through.
- Serve: Serve immediately with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- You can swap out cheddar and mozzarella for American, pepper jack, or any melty cheese.
- Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper to reduce cleanup.
