- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar

- ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven and prepare the pan: Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Prepare the dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Mix the wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the oil, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients: Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Add apples and nuts: Fold in the chopped apples and nuts if using.
- Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and serve: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
