  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)

Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Dough: In a large bowl, combine 2 1/4 cups flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add warm milk, water, melted butter, and egg. Mix until combined, then gradually stir in the remaining flour until a soft dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for 6–8 minutes until smooth. Let rise for 1 hour.
  2. Filling: Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Sauté apples until softened.
  3. Assembly: Roll dough, spread butter, add sugar-spice mix and apples. Roll up, slice, and arrange in a baking dish. Let rise for 20–30 minutes.
  4. Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake rolls for 22–25 minutes.
  5. Glaze: Whisk powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk. Drizzle over warm rolls.
