Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Dough: In a large bowl, combine 2 1/4 cups flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add warm milk, water, melted butter, and egg. Mix until combined, then gradually stir in the remaining flour until a soft dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for 6–8 minutes until smooth. Let rise for 1 hour.
- Filling: Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Sauté apples until softened.
- Assembly: Roll dough, spread butter, add sugar-spice mix and apples. Roll up, slice, and arrange in a baking dish. Let rise for 20–30 minutes.
- Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake rolls for 22–25 minutes.
- Glaze: Whisk powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk. Drizzle over warm rolls.
