  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease/line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then add vanilla and mashed bananas.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Add to wet mixture and stir until combined.
  4. Add Sour Cream: Fold in sour cream until smooth. Pour batter into pan and bake for 28–32 minutes.
  5. Make Frosting: Beat cream cheese and butter until creamy. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt. Spread frosting over cooled cake.
