Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Combine wet ingredients: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract. Mix in the mashed bananas.
- Combine dry and wet ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir just until combined. Fold in the chopped nuts if using.
- Bake: Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden.
