Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 medium bananas)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Combine wet ingredients: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract. Mix in the mashed bananas.
