For the Beef Chili:

- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil: In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.
- Add onion and garlic: Cook until softened. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in tomato paste: Cook for 1–2 minutes.
- Add remaining ingredients: Diced tomatoes, beans, broth, spices, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 30–40 minutes.
