  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil: In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and garlic: Cook until softened. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in tomato paste: Cook for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Add remaining ingredients: Diced tomatoes, beans, broth, spices, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 30–40 minutes.
