Description

These Best Deviled Eggs are a classic appetizer that is always a hit at parties. Creamy, tangy, and perfectly seasoned, these deviled eggs are easy to make and even easier to eat. Garnished with a sprinkle of paprika and fresh herbs, they are as pleasing to the eyes as they are to the taste buds.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients for Best Deviled Eggs:

  • 6 large eggs, hard-boiled and peeled
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • paprika for garnish
  • chopped fresh chives or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice and Prep Eggs: Slice the hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise and carefully remove the yolks, placing them in a medium bowl. Set the egg whites aside on a serving platter.
  2. Prepare Filling: Mash the yolks with a fork until smooth. Add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using), and mix until creamy and well combined.
  3. Adjust Seasoning and Fill Eggs: Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
  4. Garnish and Chill: Garnish with a light sprinkle of paprika and fresh herbs, if desired. Chill for at least 20 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra-smooth filling, use a food processor to blend the yolks and other ingredients.
  • You can also add a pinch of cayenne or a splash of pickle juice for added flavor.
  • These can be made up to a day ahead and stored covered in the refrigerator.
