Ingredients
Black Tea Base:
2 black tea bags or 2 teaspoons loose-leaf black tea, 1 cup hot water;
Butterfly Pea Tea Layer:
½ teaspoon butterfly pea flower powder or 5 dried butterfly pea flowers, ¼ cup hot water;
Additional:
½ cup whole milk or plant-based milk, 1–2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk or simple syrup, ice cubes
Instructions
- Steep the black tea: Brew the black tea in 1 cup of hot water for 4–5 minutes. Remove the tea bags or strain the leaves.
- Prepare the butterfly pea tea: Steep the butterfly pea flower powder or dried flowers in ¼ cup of hot water for 5 minutes until a deep blue color forms. Strain if using whole flowers.
- Combine the teas: In a glass, mix the brewed black tea with sweetened condensed milk until dissolved. Pour over ice in a serving glass.
