  • 1/2 cup buttermilk

Blueberries:

  • 1 ½ cups fresh or frozen blueberries (if frozen, do not thaw)
  • 1 tablespoon flour (for tossing blueberries)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Prepare dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, cream cheese, and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Combine ingredients: Mix in half of the flour mixture, then the buttermilk, followed by the remaining flour until just combined. Toss blueberries with flour and gently fold into the batter.
  5. Bake: Pour the batter into the pan, smooth the top, and bake for 55–65 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool and serve: Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
