Ingredients

Scale

Chicken Skewers:

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • olive oil spray or 2 tablespoons olive oil for baking or pan-frying
  • wooden or metal skewers

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven or Skillet: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or a skillet over medium heat if pan-frying. Soak wooden skewers in water for 20–30 minutes.
  2. Prepare Breadcrumb Mixture: In a shallow dish, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dredge Chicken: Place flour in a second dish and beaten eggs in a third. Dredge each chicken cube in flour, dip in egg, then coat in breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Thread Chicken onto Skewers: Thread breaded chicken pieces onto skewers.
  5. Baking Method: For baking, place skewers on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spray lightly with olive oil, and bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. Pan-Frying Method: Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook skewers for 4–5 minutes per side until crispy and cooked through.
