Bread:
- 1 loaf French or Italian bread (halved lengthwise)
Garlic Butter:
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Toppings:
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella (sliced)
- 2–3 medium tomatoes (sliced)
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze (plus more for drizzling)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare garlic butter: Mix softened butter with minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt. Spread over cut sides of bread.
- Assemble: Place bread halves on the baking sheet. Layer mozzarella and tomato slices evenly. Bake for 10–12 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Finish and serve: Top with basil leaves, drizzle with balsamic glaze, and slice to enjoy warm.
