- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
Instructions
- Preheat the oven and prepare the baking dish: Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9-inch square baking dish.
- Prepare the apple filling: In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with granulated sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and caramel sauce until evenly coated. Spread the apple mixture in the prepared baking dish.
- Make the crisp topping: In a separate bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Add the cold, cubed butter and work it into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle the topping over the apples.
- Bake the crisp: Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Let cool before serving and drizzle with extra caramel sauce.
