- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small cubes
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 3/4 cup cold buttermilk
For the Garlic Butter Topping:
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or 1 teaspoon dried
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Biscuit Dough: In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese. Pour in the cold buttermilk and mix until just combined.
- Bake the Biscuits: Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
- Make the Garlic Butter Topping: Mix melted butter, garlic powder, parsley, and salt. Brush the warm biscuits with the garlic butter topping.
