- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder.
- Add Butter and Cheese: Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Form Dough: Add cold water gradually, mixing until a dough forms. Shape into a ball, flatten into a disc, and roll out on a floured surface.
- Cut Strips: Using a knife or pizza cutter, cut the dough into thin strips.
- Bake: Transfer strips to the baking sheet, twist for decoration if desired, and bake for 12–15 minutes until golden and crisp. Cool before serving.
