Ingredients
For the Taco Meat:
1 pound ground beef, 1 packet taco seasoning mix, 1/3 cup water
For the Filling:
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese, 1/2 cup canned diced tomatoes with green chilies (drained), 1/4 cup sliced green onions
For the Assembly:
2 tubes refrigerated crescent roll dough or pizza dough, optional sour cream or salsa for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cook the Taco Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat and stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 3–4 minutes, then let cool slightly.
- Assemble the Pinwheels: Unroll the dough and press seams together. Spread taco meat over each rectangle, then add cheeses, tomatoes, and green onions. Roll up dough into logs and slice into pinwheels.
- Bake: Place pinwheels on baking sheet, bake for 12–15 minutes until golden and melted.
- Serve: Serve warm with sour cream or salsa.
