- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 (32-ounce) bag frozen tater tots
Instructions
- Preheat oven and prepare dish: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Make meatloaf layer: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, ketchup, onion soup mix, garlic powder, and pepper. Press mixture into dish.
- Add cheese and tater tots: Sprinkle 1 cup cheese over meatloaf, arrange tater tots in a single layer, and bake for 40 minutes.
- Finish baking: Remove from oven, sprinkle with remaining cheese, and bake for 10–15 more minutes until golden and crisp.
- Rest and serve: Let casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.
