Instructions

- Add Eggs and Almond Extract: Beat in the eggs and almond extract until well combined.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
- Add Cherries and Almonds: Gently fold in the chopped maraschino cherries and sliced almonds.
- Bake: Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto prepared baking sheets. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden. Cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
