Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F and prepare a 12-cup muffin tin with liners or grease.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix buttermilk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Combine Wet and Dry: Add wet mixture to dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Gently fold in cherries.
- Prepare Topping: Mix brown sugar and 1/2 cup flour, then cut in cold butter until crumbly.
- Fill Muffin Cups: Divide batter into muffin cups and top with crumb mixture.
- Bake: Bake for 20–24 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before serving.
