Description

These Chicken Tikka Kebabs are a flavorful and aromatic Indian dish featuring tender marinated chicken grilled to perfection. Perfect for a weeknight dinner or weekend barbecue!

Marinade:

  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs (cut into 1.5-inch pieces)
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare Marinade: In a large bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, cumin, coriander, paprika, garam masala, turmeric, cayenne, salt, and oil. Add chicken, coat evenly, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  2. Grill Chicken: Preheat grill or broiler. Thread chicken onto skewers, grill for 12–15 minutes, turning occasionally until fully cooked and slightly charred. Serve hot with sides of choice.

Notes

  • You can also bake the skewers at 425°F (220°C) for 20–25 minutes, turning once halfway through.
  • Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
