  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, cream softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add Eggs and Flavorings: Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract and instant espresso powder. Mix until combined.
  4. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Combine Wet and Dry: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until incorporated. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Bake: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheets. Bake for 9–11 minutes until edges are set and centers are still soft.
  7. Cool and Serve: Let the cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
