Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Prepare dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Stir in mix-ins: Fold in the chocolate chips, M&M’s, and sprinkles if using.
- Bake: Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets. Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until golden around the edges and soft in the center.
- Cool and enjoy: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
