- 2 cups peeled and finely chopped apples (such as Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in sour cream, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Add Dry Ingredients: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, mixing just until incorporated. Fold in apples and nuts if using.
- Bake: Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 55–65 minutes. Cool before slicing and serving.
