  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix egg, milk, sour cream, oil, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Blend Batter: Add wet ingredients to dry and stir until just combined.
  5. Prepare Cinnamon Swirl: Combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter in a small bowl.
  6. Layer Batter and Swirl: Pour half the batter into the pan, add half the cinnamon swirl, then repeat. Swirl gently.
  7. Bake: Bake for 45–55 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan, then transfer to a rack.
  8. Make Glaze: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over cooled bread.
