- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and line with parchment paper for easy removal.
- Prepare the dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
- Mix the wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk the pumpkin purée, granulated sugar, brown sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.
- Combine the ingredients: Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Make the topping: In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and sugar for the topping. Sprinkle evenly over the batter.
- Bake: Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
