Ingredients
Scale
Wet Ingredients
- ½ cup Salted butter
- 24 ounces Large marshmallows
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Cereal and Mix-ins
- 8 cups Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal
- 5 ounces Mini marshmallows
Instructions
- Prepare the Pan: Generously spray a 9×13-inch baking pan with cooking spray, making sure to cover every corner for easy removal of the bars after they have cooled. Set the pan aside.
- Melt Butter and Marshmallows: In a large pot, melt the salted butter over medium-low heat. Once melted, add the large marshmallows and stir continuously for about 2-3 minutes until the mixture is completely melted and smooth.
- Add Flavor and Combine Ingredients: Remove the pot from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Then add the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal and mini marshmallows, stirring gently to coat everything evenly without breaking the cereal pieces.
- Shape the Bars: Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Using a spatula, gently press the mixture into an even layer while keeping it light to retain crunchiness. Avoid packing too tightly.
- Cool and Slice: Allow the bars to cool completely at room temperature for about one hour so they can set firmly before slicing them into 12 servings.
Notes
- Ensure the heat is set to medium-low when melting marshmallows to prevent burning.
- Do not over-press the mixture into the pan to keep the bars light and crunchy.
- The bars can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of cinnamon to the melted marshmallow mixture.
