Description

Indulge in the rich and flavorful Cajun-inspired Crawfish Fettuccine, a creamy pasta dish featuring tender crawfish tails in a luscious sauce.

Ingredients

Scale

Pasta:

  • 12 ounces fettuccine pasta

Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 small green bell pepper (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Creole seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 pound cooked crawfish tails (with fat, if available)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Fettuccine: Boil pasta until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: Sauté onion and bell pepper in butter and oil. Add garlic, soup, cream, Parmesan, Creole seasoning, and paprika. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  3. Finish the Dish: Add crawfish to the sauce, then combine with cooked pasta. Season and garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

  • If crawfish isn’t available, shrimp makes an excellent alternative. For a spicier kick, consider adding cayenne pepper or hot sauce.
