- 12 oz egg noodles
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
Sauce and Seasonings:
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper

- 2 (5 oz) cans tuna (drained)
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup crushed buttery crackers or panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook noodles: Cook the egg noodles according to package directions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- Make sauce: In a large saucepan, melt butter, sauté onion, add garlic, sprinkle flour and make a roux. Whisk in milk until thickened, then add sour cream, mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper.
- Combine ingredients: Stir in tuna, peas, and cheddar cheese. Fold in cooked noodles.
- Prepare topping: Mix crushed crackers or panko with melted butter. Sprinkle over casserole along with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake: Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until golden and bubbly. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
