- 2 large cucumbers (peeled and chopped)
- 3 cups cold water
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 2 to 3 tablespoons honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
- Pinch of salt
For Serving
- Ice for serving
- Cucumber slices and lime wedges for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients: Peel and chop the cucumbers into smaller pieces to facilitate blending.
- Blend Mixture: In a blender, combine the chopped cucumbers, cold water, fresh lime juice, your preferred sweetener (honey or sugar), and a pinch of salt. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth.
- Strain Liquid: Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to separate the pulp from the liquid. Press the pulp gently to extract as much juice as possible.
- Adjust Flavor: Taste the strained juice and adjust the sweetness or lime juice as desired to suit your palate.
- Chill: Refrigerate the agua fresca for at least 30 minutes to allow it to chill thoroughly.
- Serve: Serve the drink over ice, garnished with cucumber slices or lime wedges if desired, for a refreshing treat.
Notes
- For a more refreshing twist, add a few fresh mint leaves during blending.
- Replace some of the cold water with sparkling water for a fizzy variation of the drink.
