Instructions
- Preheat the oven and prepare the baking sheet: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream the butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add wet ingredients: Beat in the egg, vanilla, and molasses until smooth.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Mix the dough: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Fold in the candied fruit, nuts, dried cherries, and raisins.
- Bake the cookies: Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes until golden. Let cool before transferring to a wire rack.
