For the Cherry Pie Bites:
- 1 package refrigerated pie crusts (2 crusts)
- 1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Crusts: Roll out pie crusts on a lightly floured surface and cut into 3-inch circles using a cookie cutter or glass.
- Add Filling: Place a small spoonful of cherry pie filling in the center of each circle. Fold dough over filling to form a half-moon shape and press edges with a fork to seal.
- Arrange and Bake: Arrange bites on the baking sheet. Brush tops with beaten egg, then sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve: Let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar and serving warm.

- These can also be made in mini muffin tins for a cup-style version.
- Try swapping cherry pie filling with apple, blueberry, or peach for variety.
