For the Cherry Pie Bites:

  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts (2 crusts)
  • 1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Crusts: Roll out pie crusts on a lightly floured surface and cut into 3-inch circles using a cookie cutter or glass.
  3. Add Filling: Place a small spoonful of cherry pie filling in the center of each circle. Fold dough over filling to form a half-moon shape and press edges with a fork to seal.
  4. Arrange and Bake: Arrange bites on the baking sheet. Brush tops with beaten egg, then sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
