Ingredients
Scale
Crescent Dough
- 1 can (8 oz) crescent dough
Filling
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Toppings
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup colorful sprinkles
Other
- Cooking spray or butter (for greasing the baking sheet)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare your baking sheet by greasing it with cooking spray or butter to prevent sticking.
- Prepare Dough: Open the can of crescent dough and separate it into individual triangles, ready to be filled.
- Make Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Spoon a small amount of this mixture onto the center of each crescent triangle.
- Shape Bunnies: Fold the sides of each crescent triangle over the filling and pinch the edges tightly to seal the filling inside, shaping them to resemble bunnies.
- Bake: Place the shaped crescent bites on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they turn golden brown.
- Cool and Decorate: Allow the baked bites to cool for a few minutes. Once cooled, sprinkle colorful sprinkles on top for a festive touch. Optionally, you can melt the chocolate chips to drizzle on top or use them for decorating.
- Serve: Serve the Easter Bunny Crescent Bites warm or at room temperature as a delightful holiday snack or dessert.
Notes
- Ensure the cream cheese is softened to make it easier to mix with powdered sugar and vanilla.
- You can customize the filling by adding citrus zest or cinnamon for a unique flavor twist.
- Use a piping bag or spoon for more precise filling placement to prevent leakage.
- If desired, melt the chocolate chips to drizzle over the baked bites instead of just sprinkling.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to 4 days.
