Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Mix Butter and Cream Cheese: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
- Add Sugar and Egg: Mix in the sugar until light and fluffy, then add the egg and vanilla extract.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Form Dough: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, forming a soft dough.
- Bake: Scoop tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets, flatten slightly, and bake for 10–12 minutes until set.
- Cool and Dust: Cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
