Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Garlic Butter
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
Garnish
- Sliced pickles, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it to prevent sticking and promote even baking.
- Cook the Beef: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook it while breaking it up with a spatula until fully browned and cooked through, about 7 to 8 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
- Season the Beef: Stir in Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper into the cooked beef. Mix well, then remove the pan from heat and allow the beef to cool slightly to avoid melting the tortillas during assembly.
- Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with the minced garlic until mixed well. This will be brushed onto the rollups to add rich flavor and a crispy finish.
- Assemble the Rollups: Lay out the flour tortillas on a clean surface. Evenly distribute the cooled beef mixture atop each tortilla. Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheeses over the beef on each one.
- Roll and Bake: Roll each tortilla tightly from one side, tucking in the edges to enclose the filling completely. Arrange the rollups seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush them thoroughly with the garlic butter mixture. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the rollups turn golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Let the rollups cool slightly before serving. Optionally, slice them into pinwheel shapes and garnish with sliced pickles for an added cheeseburger touch. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- Make sure the beef mixture is slightly cooled before spreading on tortillas to prevent them from becoming soggy.
- You can substitute cheddar and mozzarella with other favorite cheeses if desired.
- For extra flavor, try adding diced onions or pickles inside the rollups before baking.
- Leftover rollups can be reheated in the oven or air fryer to retain crispiness.
- These rollups can be made ahead and baked just before serving for convenience.
