  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup water

Additional:

  • Hamburger buns, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook Ground Turkey: Heat olive oil in a skillet, cook ground turkey until browned.
  2. Add Vegetables: Add onion and bell pepper, cook until softened. Stir in garlic.
  3. Make Sauce: Add ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Stir, then add water.
  4. Simmer: Reduce heat, simmer for 8–10 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Serve: Spoon mixture onto hamburger buns and enjoy!
