- 1–2 jalapeño peppers, seeded and minced
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 small garlic clove, minced (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped onion, jalapeños, and cilantro.
- Add the lime juice and salt, then stir to mix everything well.
- If using garlic, stir it in at this point.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt or lime juice if needed.
- Let the salsa sit for 10–15 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes
- For a milder salsa, use only one jalapeño or substitute with a milder pepper.
- To reduce liquid, remove tomato seeds before dicing.
