This Easy Sushi Bake Recipe combines all the flavors of sushi in a convenient casserole form. Perfect for sushi lovers looking for a simple and delicious twist on traditional sushi.

Ingredients

Scale

Sushi Rice:

  • 2 cups cooked sushi rice
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Seafood Mixture:

  • 1 cup imitation crab meat or cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Additional:

  • 2 sheets roasted seaweed (nori), cut into small rectangles
  • 1 tablespoon furikake seasoning (optional)
  • Sliced green onions and avocado for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Prepare rice: Season the cooked sushi rice with rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Press the rice evenly into the bottom of an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  3. Make seafood mixture: Combine chopped imitation crab or shrimp, mayonnaise, sriracha, cream cheese, soy sauce, and sesame oil until smooth. Spread this mixture over the rice layer in the baking dish.
  4. Bake: Sprinkle with furikake if using. Bake for 15–20 minutes until hot and slightly golden on top.
  5. Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Serve warm with nori rectangles and garnish with green onions and avocado if desired.
