Description

This Easy Taco Spaghetti recipe combines the flavors of tacos with a comforting pasta dish for a delicious and satisfying dinner that the whole family will love. With simple ingredients and just one pot needed, it’s a convenient meal option for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Dish:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or 2 tablespoons homemade)
  • 1 can (10 ounces) diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 8 ounces spaghetti, uncooked
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Garnish:

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef: In a large skillet or Dutch oven, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until beef is browned and onion is tender, about 5 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  2. Add Ingredients: Add taco seasoning, diced tomatoes with green chilies, tomato sauce, beef broth, and uncooked spaghetti. Stir to combine, ensuring pasta is submerged in liquid.
  3. Cook: Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and cook for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until spaghetti is tender and sauce has thickened.
  4. Season and Garnish: Season with salt and pepper. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.

Notes

  • For extra creaminess, add 1/4 cup sour cream or cream cheese at the end.
  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for the beef.
