Egg Noodles:
- 2 cups uncooked egg noodles
Cream of Mushroom Mixture:
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup milk
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 (12 oz) can tuna, drained and flaked
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Topping:
- 1 cup crushed butter crackers or breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven and prepare baking dish: Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook the noodles: Cook the egg noodles according to package directions until al dente, then drain.
- Prepare the casserole mixture: In a large bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, peas, tuna, shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add the cooked noodles and stir until well combined.
- Assemble and bake: Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. In a small bowl, combine the crushed crackers or breadcrumbs with melted butter, then sprinkle over the top of the casserole. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden. Let cool before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute cream of celery or cream of chicken soup if desired.
