Cake:

Frosting:

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons eggnog
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of nutmeg for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and prepare pan: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease/flour a 10-cup Bundt pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  3. Cream butter and sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, oil, and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add wet and dry ingredients: Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla. Alternate adding dry ingredients with eggnog and sour cream, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
  5. Bake: Pour batter into pan and bake for 45-55 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Make frosting: Whisk together powdered sugar, eggnog, and vanilla until smooth.
  7. Finish cake: Drizzle frosting over cooled cake and sprinkle with nutmeg.
