- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter (cubed)
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning
Fillings:
- 4 large eggs
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 breakfast sausage patties or plant-based sausage
- 1 tablespoon butter or oil for cooking
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare Biscuits: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in buttermilk until just combined. Pat dough into a rectangle, cut into 4 biscuits, place on baking sheet, brush with buttermilk, sprinkle with seasoning, and bake for 12–15 minutes.
- Cook Fillings: Cook sausage patties until browned. Fry eggs to desired doneness in the same skillet.
- Assemble: Slice biscuits, add sausage patty, cheddar slice, and fried egg to make sandwiches. Serve warm.
