Biscuit Dough:
- 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (8 large biscuits)
Filling:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small yellow onion (thinly sliced)
- 1/2 pound deli roast beef (thinly sliced)
- 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
Au Jus:
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Sauté onions and beef: In a skillet, sauté the onions until soft. Add the roast beef and Worcestershire sauce, warm through, season, and remove from heat.
- Prepare biscuits: Flatten each biscuit, fill with beef mixture and cheese, seal, and place on the baking sheet. Brush with egg wash.
- Bake: Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
- Make au jus: Simmer all au jus ingredients in a saucepan for 5–7 minutes.
- Serve: Serve warm stuffed biscuits with au jus for dipping.
