Ingredients

Scale

Ground Beef Mixture:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Rice and Broth Mixture:

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) beef broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Topping:

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella or Swiss cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Sauté Onions and Beef: In a large skillet, heat olive oil and sauté sliced onions until soft. Add ground beef, cook until browned, and drain excess grease. Season with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Prepare Rice and Broth Mixture: In a bowl, mix uncooked rice, French onion soup, beef broth, and sour cream. Combine with the beef mixture.
