For Casserole:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 (10.5-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 cups cooked egg noodles
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Swiss or Gruyère cheese
  • 1 cup crispy fried onions
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Caramelize Onions: Heat olive oil in a skillet. Cook onions until golden, then add garlic. Set aside.
  2. Prepare Casserole: Brown ground beef in the skillet. Add soup, sour cream, broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and caramelized onions. Season. Mix in noodles and half of the cheeses.
