Indulge in these festive Frosted Easter Blondies, a delightful dessert perfect for springtime celebrations. These chewy bars are loaded with colorful pastel M&M’s, white chocolate chips, and sprinkles, all topped with a creamy vanilla frosting. Easy to make and even easier to enjoy!

Ingredients

Scale

Blondies:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 1 1/4 cups light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pastel M&M’s or candy-coated chocolates
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup sprinkles

Frosting:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tablespoons heavy cream or milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Food coloring of choice
  • Extra sprinkles or candy eggs for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk melted butter with brown and granulated sugars until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
  3. Combine dry ingredients: In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir into wet mixture until just combined.
  4. Add mix-ins: Fold in M&M’s, white chocolate chips, and sprinkles. Spread batter in the pan.
  5. Bake: Bake for 25–28 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before frosting.
  6. Make frosting: Beat softened butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar and cream until smooth. Mix in vanilla and food coloring.
  7. Frost and decorate: Spread frosting over blondies and add extra sprinkles or candy eggs. Cut into squares to serve.

Notes

  • Do not overbake to keep the blondies soft and chewy.
  • Blondies can be made ahead and stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • For added flavor, include 1/2 teaspoon almond extract in the frosting.
