Instructions

  2. Fry the Bites: Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a large deep skillet or Dutch oven to 350°F (175°C). Working in batches, carefully drop heaping tablespoons of batter into the hot oil. Fry for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Drain and Serve: Use a slotted spoon to transfer the funnel cake bites to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Dust generously with powdered sugar before serving warm.
