Description

Tender sirloin steak bites and golden baby potatoes coated in a flavorful garlic butter sauce make for a satisfying and hearty meal that’s easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Steak Bites:

  • 1 1/2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For the Potatoes:

  • 1 1/2 pounds baby potatoes, halved or quartered
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potatoes: Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the halved potatoes, season with half the salt and pepper, and cook until golden and fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  2. Cook the Steak Bites: Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet. Season the steak bites with remaining salt and pepper. Sear in a single layer for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Reduce heat to medium-low.
  3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: Add butter, garlic, thyme, rosemary, and parsley to the skillet. Stir until butter melts and garlic is fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Combine Everything: Return potatoes to the skillet, toss to coat in the garlic butter, and garnish with parsley. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Pat the steak bites dry before searing for a better crust.
  • Pair with a green salad or steamed veggies for a balanced meal.
