Description

Indulge in the savory and aromatic flavors of Garlic Butter Steak Lightning Noodles, a quick and satisfying Asian-inspired dish that combines tender steak, flavorful noodles, and a buttery garlic sauce.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Marinated Steak:

  • 12 ounces flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

For the Noodles:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 8 ounces rice noodles or spaghetti, cooked according to package directions
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Optional: sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Steak: In a medium bowl, toss the sliced steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Cook the Steak: Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon butter. Sear the steak in batches until browned and just cooked through, about 2 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate.
  3. Prepare the Noodles: Add the remaining butter to the skillet along with the garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until fragrant and lightly golden, about 1 minute. Stir in the cooked noodles, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and brown sugar. Toss well to coat.
  4. Combine and Serve: Return the steak to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for 1–2 more minutes until heated through. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lime juice or a drizzle of chili oil before serving.
  • You can substitute chicken or shrimp for the steak if preferred.
