  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • ½ cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: Whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Mix in dry ingredients and buttermilk alternately until just combined.
